Sounds like the Wacom app you installed it not what you need. I'd suggest uninstalling that. It could well be something intended for a different type of pen.

You need the Wacom Feel Driver - I've always found it by googling just that. (I was only aware of it because of a logo on the box.) For the Yoga Book it doesn't do much except allowing you to adjust sensitivity - but there may be stuff under the hood that I don't know about.

Regarding the other things I was just thinking of possibilities. I had found myself thinking I'd updated the Halo driver when in fact the old one was being used - others have done the same I think, so it seemed worth mentioning.

You might be able to find someone who has a Samsung S pen (used for some of their phones and tablets) and borrow that to see if it works OK. (You may also be able to buy one cheaply from mobile phone dealers.) There has been an amount of discussion here about alternative pens - I'd suggest reading them before paying for anything.

If I understand correctly, pen starts drawing without it touching the surface of the createpad. Just hovering on top? I remember I have seen this problem one day when I was using OneNote to draw on my Yoga Book. It then disappeared by itself. Sounds weird if you ask me.

This symptom can be caused by pushing the nib into the pen too hard. (I suspect there may be other reasons it can happen though.)

Try taking it out and putting it back in again but not pushing it down hard. This has worked for me in the past. Since most people hold a pen at angle when they write or draw you don't usually push it in hard again while actually using it.

You may find it weird but I think that placing the Yoga Book on a flat surface like a table would be best for using pen mode. This issue happened two times to me and both happened when my device was on my bed/pillow. Make sure it's straight on a desk maybe it makes sense somehow ?

In a previous thread I suggested installing latest drivers and it worked for that person.

So many people are complaining on this issue including me. It's true that it didn't happen since a long time but it might happen again at any time.

Could it be a malfunction in all Yoga Books? Not sure if it's specific to certain softwares.

Also does it happen after installing Waccom Feel driver?

Just to be sure - check that the system is actually using the updated driver (have a look in Device Manager). When updating it you need to ensure the old driver is deleted and reboot to make the system use the new one.

Why this particular driver is like this I don't know - but it is - it's been discussed before.

If that doesn't work or isn't the problem, I'm at a loss - I can only tell what's worked for me.
