Re: Windows 10 April 2018 Update 1803

Today I updated my Yoga Book YB1-X91L to the version of Windows 10 1803, from 1709, after 7 months of errors. I tried everything. But just by looking at the log files after an error installation via Media Creation Tools with a USB flash drive, I see that my error 0x800700A1 - 0x20007 is caused, for me, by this file:

C: \ Windows \ System32 \ DriverStore \ FileRepository \ wwansidebandsignal .inf_amd64_12ce8fb75f43c5bd \ wwansidebandsignal.inf

So I moved away on the desktop the whole directory, changing the owner from SYSTEM to my account and allowing full control. I run the setup from the USB key created with MCT and ... voilà!

Installed and working.

First of all I created a USB recovery pen drive for security.

I hope may it be useful for someone.
Lenovo Yoga Book YB1-X91L is possible to update to version 1803 of Windows 10.

Bye.

@Ninus

Lenovo Yoga Book YB1-X91L is possible to update to version 1803 of Windows 10.

Congratulations on finally getting 1803 installed. You may want to update your Yoga Book to 1809. I find it much more stable than 1803 and I have nearly no issues on my Yoga Book running the 2018 October Update. Hopefully you'll run into zero errors during the update process. I update my devices using the Windows Update in Settings and I never had any installation problems.

Re: Windows 10 April 2018 Update 1803

Thank you FarisJayyousi,

yes, I would like to update to the last 1809, but I've read that the problems can come from Microsoft itself. When they release the version on Windows Update again I'll do everything to install it. I hope that, as happened to you, now it'll be much better. I cross my fingers and thank you again for your comment.

Re: Windows 10 April 2018 Update 1803

The general (ie: not just Yoga Book related) occured for those in particular situations - having moved the User folder to a different location was one. Can't remember what else was mentioned offhand.

I've updated two Yoga Books to 1809 and like others they've had no problems at all.
