I have the same problem with the touchscreen. But in addition the usb mouse and keyboard also does not work properly after the update (both "hang" all the time and only after several moves with the mouse or keytips on the keyboard they work again - for approx. 10 seconds...). Closing the lid and opening again helps also in these cases.
In addition the screen keyboard disappeared after the update. Does anyone have an idea how to get it back?

Any update on this? Somehow the Fall Creators Update keeps getting installed after rolling back and rendering my touchscreen useless.
Microsoft should stop forcing this update to Thinkpad 8 devices or Lenovo should issue a Power Management driver update to fix this.

The update will continue to be offered, and as some of you have mentioned, will back out if it sees something on the system that is not compatible.
Have any of you reported this touch screen issue to Microsoft?

Yes, I reported this error in the hub feedback, and on the site community support microsoft.
Question problem with WINDOWS10 Pro build 16.299.19 on Lenovo's ThinkPad 8 tablet I upgraded the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 tablet to build 16299.15 and after 16.299.19, and the touchscreen crashed.
I upgraded all drives by the manufacturer's website, but the touchscreen only works if the Tablet is connected to the power.
Accessing the Uefi menu and the touchscreen operates normal on the battery, so I leave the UEFI and Windows 10 loads the touchscreen to work, it is not possible even unlock the lock screen to enter the user, has to connect the Thinkpad 8 in the charger to work.
Does anyone know how to handle it?

Same problem with touchscreen here.
Besides, sound is not working. I tried a fresh install, windows drivers, Lenovo drivers,.... The sound device is correctly detected and the drivers installed, but I get no sound at all.
Anybody found the same problem? How to fix?

The sound problem was an old friend of mine (with Windows 10, at least). I always solve it installing the Intel Chipset driver. Try it.
BTW, I think that LENOVO should publish an updated Windows 10 driver to solve the touchscreen PROBLEM. It renders the device unusable.
And for whose are wondering, I'm experiencing it, too.
