I don't have a micro HDMI with me or I would post a picture of yellow straddling both displays. From what I've read it sounds like the display for the Y2P simply isn't calibrated to display bright enough for certain colors. Sounds like a firmware update?

Mark, thank you very much for jumping into this! This one issue is really the only thing between me loving this laptop. I can get used to Windows 8, I would of had to at some point anyways.

Using other displays I've been able to recreate the yellow seen on the Y2P. The same yellow on the Y2P at full brightness can be had by turning down the brightness on other displays. For example, the Galaxy Note 2 matched yellows at about 35% brightness.

We will continue looking into this and I hope to have more to share sometime next week..
In the mean time, if you set Lenovo Energy Management to Performance mode (especially while on AC) do you see an improvement in the yellow?

Plugged in high performance mode changed the color from puke to more of a washed out yellow so that was a huge improvement for me. Now just please make it brighter with a firmware update.
One caveat though, this fix doesn't last . If the computer goes to sleep such as closing the lid, upon wakeup you have to select another power plan then select high performance mode again to get back the yellowish color.

I purchased the Yoga 2 Pro just yesterday and I suddenly learned about this apparent color issue. As a result, I had to cancel my order. However, I am still locked on getting the Yoga 2 Pro. So I will be waiting till Lenovo fixes the hardware.
(Note: The previous Sony S15 and a HP something had a similar faulty panel that displays horrible reds and violets before.. no software was able to fix the problem)
