How to permanently disable mobile data

Hi there, new to the forum and to the phone, an E6 locked to T-Mobile. I'm on the $20 talk and text only plan, so I want to disable mobile data and use only wi-fi data. I've turned off mobile data through the Network and Internet settings, but it turns back on its own.

Hi niton9,

 

There is no setting to permanently disable mobile data. It can only be toggled on and off through settings or on quick settings. Let us know if you have other questions.

Thanks for your message. Apparently some of the apps have the ability to turn mobile data back on without my knowledge or permission, as when I check back periodically, it's back on.

Yes, that could be true for some apps. You can disable or uninstall if you are no longer using the app. Do you need further help? Please let us know.
