@111Bart if you have a sim card and can get the sim number 19 digit also called (iccid)  digits here in usa go to this site input the number and try out the numbers it shows you

The only other way to get that number is to get a hold of your service provider

Hi 111Bart,

We would like to know if the IMEI on your profile is the same phone that is not reading the SIM card?

Best regards,

Hey agent whatever your name is could of explained that ALOT better IMEI is a (usually) unique number they use to identify your phone brand type etc this by no means is the same number that is located on your sim card, have you thought about calling your carrier and explaining what is going on cuz friend had to literally return STORE BOUGHT MOTO E6 for straight talk wireless because it said network locked after I installed following the instructions to the t

I had to talk to like one of the senior techs and he could not tell me why It was doing that, he tried everything and said... that's a e6 huh... they have issues with sim problems apparently some kind of issue with the software that's in a locking a network for some reason and I could guarantee that whatever agent's going to respond is going to disagree with me but he basically told me that

What I recommend is calling your provider talking to tech support and seeing if you can get a different sim card for free or if they can help you out good luck dude

Cheers

I beginning to think this is not a task easily resolved and might be a design problem as you are implying.

Just to confirm, the phone's network is Metro PCS and is locked to Metro PCS?

I don't want to sound rude or you know like I'm being a jerk but I appreciate you stopping in we know you're here to help, like are you bored or were you told by your Superior to go on to the forum because if you look at it it was 4 months ago I that the last person had issues with this it kind of blew my mind when I got an email about this one cuz I don't even own this phone anymore I got rid of it you know at least for me

Just kind of had to say something you know everything if you wanted to help maybe it should have helped 4 months ago you know what I mean for the guy just saying

Your job may be different than mine but I do work and repair computers and other various electronics if I waited that long to take to respond or fix someone machine or whatever I would no longer have that customer as one

I don't need a response I don't really don't care just food for thought

Sincerely

I swear I'm not a jerk
