Hello,

I am really unhappy with your answers to questions from the community regarding the Moto G 5g plus.
You are unable to give real answers.
In the network settings, why is 5G not displayed in the list of preferred network type?
I can't seem to find your answer in the forum, yet a lot of people have asked this question.
I think the 5g is a joke on this smartphone.
Is it normal that the list of preferred network types are different depending on the country?
I'm in France, and it doesn't work too.
Do you think an update will solve the problem?

I apologize it's taking too long.  We can't guarantee that 5G would work with all carriers even if the phone has the required band to support 5G. Some carriers might require certification for its features to be available. We do not think that a software update will able to allow 5G support especially if this the feature is not allowed by the carrier.

Android 11 is out in France i´ve installed it and no 5G support at all with Free Mobile carrier (everything is enabled on the carrier side).

Is this device really support 5G at all ? You will have a lot of more complain, we will not understand why the 5G firmware activation was not ship with Android 11 update.

Which 5G networks carrier in France ?

2021-05-26, 12:04 PM

Hi I just  discover that the Moto g 5G plus does not support some carriers in France ( and in other countries), I am very surprised as it is sold without any  warnings on the store https://www.motorola.fr/smartphones-moto-g-5g-plus/p .

Please in France , tell us what are the carrier networks where the moto g 5G plus will works with 5G among :

  • Bouygues telecom /B & You
  • Orange/Sosh
  • SFR/Red by SFR
  • Free

Please I want to subscribe a 5G plan so I really need to know before doing this.

Model XT2075-3

Android 11

Build version RPNS31.Q4U-39-27-5-2

Security update 2021-03-01

Regards

Christophe

Hi Chris774,

Thanks for reaching out to us with your question. Currently, I only have information on Free Mobile which is not supported and we are still checking if it will get support in the future. I'll check in with my team and ask can the phone support 5G on the carriers that you have mentioned.

Best regards,
Zeke
