Wifi signal drop

2020-07-16, 10:08 AM

Got mine yesterday. So far the experience has been good , but I would like to see an update fixing the stability of the wifi signal and if possible , a patch to fix the colours of the camera too. Battery life is not bad but for a 5000 mah I expect just a little more.

Thanks hope to see this device improve on next updates. Thanks

Hi HenriqueM,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Can you tell us more about the Wi-Fi signal and colors of the camera? We would also like a picture from the camera to further describe your concern. Please update your profile with current phone, carrier and IMEI -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.

Need help updating your profile? See here. https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Forum-Feedback/Complete-your-forums-profile/td-p/3339943

Hello, Thank you for your reply. The colors of camera simply lack accuracy, sure on your next update you can tune on a camera software optimization. I can share pictures altought it´s not that noticable, i mean, pictures look perfectly ok, but could be better just that. Regarding WiFi just seems a little instable, so is the battery life. I expected i little more from a 5000mah battery. It´s my first week i know, yet if you see the behaviour of the wifi maybe it would help. Tried to register on the MFn webpage but when i add my serial number the device won´t show up. Thank you again

After several camera shots , camera now look more natural after the camera update. Works as expected.

Only thing now that needs further improvment is the stability of wifi conection, sometimes strugles to conect to my home wifi network, takes several minutes to do it. If possible could you improve battery life too? For a 5000mah battery it can certainly do much better. Phone is working on 4G, since 5G is yet not available in Portugal.

Thank you

Hi HenriqueM,

You have not yet added the Moto G 5G Plus to your profile, please add it and include the IMEI. This will help us look at the phone's battery life. Can you tell us more about the unstable Wi-Fi signal? If it keeps disconnecting or have a very low signal? You can provide us a bug report with the Wi-Fi verbose enable so we can look further.

To enable developer options:
1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number
2. Tap Build number seven times. After the first few taps, you should see the steps counting down until you unlock the developer options. Once activated, you will see a message that reads, “You are now a developer!”
3. Go back to Settings, where you’ll find a Developer options entry in the menu

BUG REPORT FOR NORMAL ISSUE:
Go to Settings ->Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On
Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On

Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Wi-Fi Verbose > Toggle on
Once the issue is reproduced: Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power-down menu.
Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
Then upload the Bug Report to your personal Google Drive and then share the link of the Bug Report via Private Message.
Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the local time when you observed the behavior.

Best regards,
Zeke

Hi HenriqueM,

For the battery life, we suggest to monitor the phone for a week or more. Just to make sure the apps are getting used to the operating system which can lessens the battery discharge.
