Re:Help Topics, FAQ's, and Chat/Contact Options

I'm trying to figure out which size SD card to buy and don't want to overdo it nor buy too small. Is a 512GB class 10 or UHS 1 all I need such as this one - SanDisk 512GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - 120MB/s, C10, U1, Full HD, A1, Micro SD Card?

Is going overboard this one - SanDisk 512GB Extreme microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card with Adapter - C10, U3, V30, 4K, A2, Micro SD - SDSQXA1-512G-GN6MA?

I want to be able to transfer pics to computer and don't plan on using a lot of apps but can see the need for that if I want phone to perform fast.

I'm reading that a card can promise all it wants but if it's more than needed it could end up slowing down the phones performance.

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi McG4

Thanks for asking. Moto G Fast can support up to 512GB microSD card. UHS-1 is typically enough depending on your activities. UHS-3 or U3 has the faster read and write speed and usually support V30 (video speed class) which has something to do with certain video format (4k/FHD/etc).

Best regards,
Rich
