Since a week ago, all my corporate access has been blocked since the phone hasn' received any security updates since January.

Is there something that can be done about it? The carrier (Google Fi) is not taking responsibility and mentioning that it is up to Motorola to send the updates over the air.

Thanks in advance for taking a look into this matter urgently!

Hi there, any news to share? Why is this model not receiving OTA updates on Google Fi when other carriers have? I've been blocked out of all my corporate apps since the Security Updates are more than 6 months old!!

I need to get an update on this too.  We're just kicking the can down the road here.  And it's a little odd that the phone provider from the same organization that makes the underlying operating can't get Motorola to release their carrier (Google Fi)'s new updates, when Google Fi hardly includes _any_ bloatware like Verizon, et al.  It just has a few minor components for the radio switching capabilities.

So why isn't Motorola working with Google Fi?  I mean clearly, they're working with Google Android to make Motorola device drivers so they can manufacturer hardware, so it's not like they don't have a pipeline to Google.

Yet, somehow, Verizon has managed, even with all of it's bloatware, to get the security updates and Android 11 released to their customers.

Motorola, you need to explain why Google Fi's specific build is so unique that it takes this long.  When you buy an Android device, you are buying quarterly security updates and at least two operating system updates during its lifecycle.  I don't think someone is meeting the terms of the contract here and the customer is now inconvenienced.

"Motorola is committed to regular and timely security updates as recommended by Google/Android. While phones cannot be upgraded indefinitely, we provide security updates within the industry standard on both our regular and our Android One devices."

"Google’s contract with Android partners stipulates that they must provide “at least four security updates” within one year of the phone’s launch. Security updates are mandated within the second year as well, though without a specified minimum number of releases."

Okay, I guess I'm joining the club of "update fails."

I updated the information in my profile. I still only have A-10 and SP-Jan21. Please push the update if you can. This is really a problem for me at work.

I finally got the Android 11 update today, but Security Patch is still back at February!  (Removed)  It's nearly August.  It is so irresponsible to trail security patches by 6 months.  I don't want anyone to get hacked, but if it does happen, I hope Lenovo pays the bill, and then some.

Meanwhile, I still cannot use my <1yo phone for work, because IT requires security patch April or later.  Honestly, I think my company's IT policy of <2mo patch is reasonable.

Lenovo/Motorola!  Patch me up!!

No such luck for me.  Still sitting at Android 10/Jan 1 2021 Patch level.

With all due respect, Sandip, "give us more time" is not a good response.  Provide a date.
