What makes you think I forgot Step One?  I didn', I bought my device on Amazon, and so the pic I posted is what came up, and the G Power is not on the list.

What I should have said was "Careful what you choose in Step 1!"

You bought it FROM Amazon but it is NOT an Amazon phone, it's a Retail phone so use "Other Carrier or Retail" NOT "Amazon Prime" when you go to Step 1.

Phew!

OK, if I scroll to the bottom of the list, it says "Other Carriers or Retail".  If I click on that, it then says my G-Power will receive Android 11, & Security updates till April 2022. So why when I click on Amazon Prime, since that is where I bought the phone, does it not show G-Power as a phone that will receive any more updates, but if I bypass it, and hit Retail, it says I do? So which is it? Why make this such a confusing mess?

As for Security Updates:
Since the security updates of  Dec. 1, 2020, and Jan.1, 2021 list a couple "critical issues' a  long list of other security issues it addresses, I again wonder why I still have the Nov. 1, 2020 as the latest update? If there have already been two more recent ones released, that include handling "critical" security issues, then where are they? Why haven't they been available for my phone?

As you can see, I did that, and had a different result. But please, it asks: "Select where you purchased your device:" And the fact that there is no such thing as an "Amazon Phone", it's only logical to select that as the place I purchased my device, no?

So hope you are now satisfied that your phone will receive updates because it will.

Perhaps that web page could be better worded.

I'm in the same boat. Bought my Moto G Power unlocked at BestBuy, and using it on T-Mobile. Step 1 on the upgrade site is set to "RETAIL", and the Moto G Power is there., Yet Android 11 was released long ago, and the phone says up-to-date @ android 10. Tried Rescue & Smart Assistant, with no luck (BTW, if I change Step 1 to "T-MOBILE", the G power is no longer there. What's the deal here?

Android 11 is released by Google but not released on a lot of phones of different brands. .  It has not been released yet for moto g power US retail version,  so we just have to be patient and wait.

The update for January came in the beginning of February. the Android 11 update may be coming soon seeing as they have already begun the soak testing. Usually a soak test is the final step before an update is released. Don't worry about missing an update once in a while.

Yeah, I started a thread a few weeks ago discussing the soak test. Here's the link for anyone interested.

" if you are talking about security updates, you won't get an update every single month, every two or three months is normal."

no, its not normal, its the criminal stuff motorola/lenovorola does. it is not, however, normal.
