terrible audio feedback on moto g power

When using Skype/Duo/Whatsapp the people I call all tell me that they hear a terrible echo / audio feedback. If I lower the call volume to zero it mostly goes away, only then I can barely hear what they are saying. if I use a headset there is no audio feedback. this is a bad enough situation that makes me want to return what would otherwise be a fine phone

bumping this, as it seems moto/lenovo support is uninterested in addressing this issue

Thanks for reaching out with your concern. Is your phone set to speakerphone during those calls? How about for regular calls? Have you also tried if it would echo during video recording?

I don't have such issue, could it be while using WiFi calls? A feature I don't use.

Hi - yes, am on speakerphone when doing these calls (Skype, duo, whatsapp, etc...). the issue does not happen when using headphones or off speakerphone. however, as we are doing family calls speakerphone is the only option

and it doens't happen when recording video. the echo is only heard by the counterparty (person being dialed)when on speakerphone

We would like to know if the calls would echo even if you are in an open area? Does this also happen on regular calls? Please update your profile with current phone, carrier and IMEI -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.
