Display isn't that bright

2021-01-16, 23:20 PM

Even at 100% brightness the display is on the dim side, it's not as bright as last years model.  I read reviews that said the 2021 g power wasn't that bright as well so it seems to be a normal thing for the new g models.  I really hope that motorola can fix this in a software update.

Interesting observation.

Have you purchased the 2021 model and are comparing it side by side with last year's model?

My sister has last year's model so I checked them both out. I looked it up and online it says the 2020 model was about 510 nits and the 2021 model is about 430 nits.  The panel quality is definitely better than last year's model but I wish it was brighter.

Thanks for that. Maybe there is a reason, will see if I can find out.

Hello, it's likely designed to run as the lower brightness, however I don't know the reason. Let me reach out to some people on my end and ill see if I can get any explanation. Keep in mind, tomorrow is a holiday in the US so there will likely be a delay in getting back to you.
