Is The Moto G Stylus Compatible With Spectrum Mobile

Spectrum Mobile tells me Moto G phones are not compatible.  Spectrum basically says if you don't buy a phone from them it won't work on their network.  I took the Sim card out of my Spectrum phone and put it in my old Moto G 4 and it worked.  I want to replace my current Spectrum phone with an unlocked Moto G Stylus (2021).  I'm pretty sure it will work but wonder if anyone could give me more assurance that it will.  Thanks.

Hello, and thanks for posting. Spectrum mobile is not listed on our carrier compatibility page. However, from my understanding they use Verizon. Now, the phone is compatible with Verizon and some Verizon MVNO's, however not Xfinity. This concerns me as Xfinity and Spectrum are both primarily Cable TV/Internet companies and they both use Verizon for mobile phone service. I would have to say it's best to stick with what your carrier is advising as we don't have any specific compatibility listed for Spectrum. I'd hate for you to spend money and not have a phone that will work.

Thanks for the quick response.  Maybe the answer to my problem is for Motorola to get Spectrum selling Motorola phones.  I know, pipe dream, but it would clear up my dilemma.  :-)

I'm sure we would love to have all carriers selling our phones. Unfourantely, that's not the current reality. You can always give it a try with Spectrum, I just don't want you to waste your time or get frustrated.

I did the same thing with my moto Z3. I'm thinking that any Motorola that's compatible with Verizon will work. My phone literally still lists Verizon as my carrier and it's been a year since I went to spectrum.

Hi Rogerhandlebar,

Thanks for sharing your experience. We are always looking forward to get our devices compatible with all carriers.

For now, we suggest customers to check our compatibility chart here before buying as this will serve as a guide to which carriers our phones will work.

We appreciate you having one of our phones.

Regards,
Jess
