I wish this was the easy way to fix the issue for me. 

 

I use Straight Talk. Which in my area uses Verizon towers. There's no simply logging on to my Verizon account to makes changes. And contacting Verizon customer service without being a Verizon customer is a joke. IF you do get someone on the line, the odds of them having a clue as to what you're talking about is almost nil. 

 

This is why after a couple of weeks of being on hold and talking to countless tech support people and explaining my problem and suggested solutions, I still was nowhere with a $300.00 paperweight. 

 

Needless to say, the phone was returned. Maybe someday when these problems are actually fixed, I'll consider purchasing again. Until then, I use my phone for work more than personal and can't afford to not be able to communicate. You'd think it wouldn't be so hard right?

I just went through this frustratingly for 2days and I read a forum post that said to have verizon to activate CDMAless setting for your device and it should work...and this did it for me. The funny thing is I told the level 2 tech what a Lenovo tech said in response to another customer and they had been overlooking this setting each time I called

What service provider do you have?  If it's Verizon ask the tech to turn on CDMAless setting and it should work. TMobile or any other GSM carrier will need to either update their settings using your IMEI number or provide you with a new sim card.

I really want to simply say "Dito".

 

I switched carriers today (from Verizon to Spectrum) and I am not receiving any text messages. I had to buy a new phone due to Spectrum's requirements; Moto G Stylus to Moto G Stylus 5g 2021.

 

I'm totally disabled, so the majority of my mobile use is via text messaging or GPS when I have to travel. I did not notice that I wasn't receiving texts until an hour ago because the majority of my online accounts use 2-step verification... That's not a good thing! (Is there a night mode that I have missed? I copied the phone settings over from my previous phone. I've tried everything, but nothing seems to work.)

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I got it corrected, so don't worry about responding. I called Spectrum and I had to cut on RTT under Phone/Accessibility. Thanks to anyone that read this.
