Re:Unable to toggle OEM Unlock in developer options (i.e. it is greyed out)

Yes, all good here.  If there is indeed a delay in being able to selecting "OEM Unlocking" from the developer options (i.e. a "cooling off" period), it would be a good idea to advertise that in the various dev community boards.

Factory reset the devices mentioned. Reboot without your sim in so the device has no connection. Do not connect to wifi either. Skip all options presented on screen and turn off all of the Google related toggles that appear also. Google's security garbage is greying out your oem unlock option. Once you get to your homescreen enter about phone, tap build version until you activate developer options. now enter developer options and the oem unlock option should be available to toggle on. once on reboot to fastboot mode and re enter your unlock code and it should be successful. then...in my opinion, promptly delete all the Google trash that causes such issues as this one!!

Perhaps I'm wrong but before hurling disparaging comments towards a company, a few more trials may be in order .  (I.e. google trash)  Hauwei has for years required a waiting period before unlocking bootloaders and I believe samsung has too.  I'm not sure about others but I try to make sure I've gotten all my info together before going and ripping on someone or something. I'd feel pretty embarrassed if it turned out I was incorrect

Hi akbridger

May I know what have you tried so far? Thanks.

Re:Unable to toggle OEM Unlock in developer options (i.e. it is greyed out)

I've tried entering the unlock code and command listed on the motorola website via adb and received the same error message the other user experienced, that OEM unlocking needed to be turned on. Tried resetting twice, removed sim card, tried every possible method to unlock bootloader to no avail. The toggle is grey and unusable. The only thing I read is to wait a week or 2 and then the button is available. Is that info true in your knowledge? Thanks

Hi akbridger

Thanks for confirming. I'm thinking if it's because the phone is new, but I will ask around.
