Yes, it is bad at 2x zoom, still present but less distorted at 3x, and went away after 4x. With HDR and AI optimization off for all.

That's useful info, thanks. Will pass this on to see if this has been flagged for investigation and will be flagged now if it hasn't. At least you can avoid a certain zoom range for now.

Hi ChristineCu

Looks like it's animated when zoomed in. We have escalated this, can you please make sure you have your IMEI on your forum profile? Our engineers might need this for investigation. Please see here for the instruction and other details. Thanks.

Best regards,

I have updated my profile with my phone model, carrier, and IMEI number. Thank you for looking into this, the 2 to 3x range is one I use often for photos.

You're welcome. Funny that, I never use magnification. To avoid the artifacts (for now) take normal (x1) and just crop.

If you read the previous posts you'll see it's just come up yesterday - I'm sure it will get fixed but not literally overnight!

Hello, same problem here with moto g stylus.  Seems related to zoom.  Definitely during processing it adds fringes/animation.

We are still investigating this. Just to confirm, you are using the default camera app?
