Re:NFC stopped working in moto g pro

I did the update with the NFC disabled, as I was normally keeping it disabled because it was not working.

In my case it didn't work.

Re:NFC stopped working in moto g pro

Rich, last time I sent my phone back for NFC repair it was returned with a smashed screen and no repair!

I was directed by Lenovo to send to another repair centre which I did. I then got an invoice for £87 to repair the screen! Eventually after 3 weeks or so I had to pay the invoice just to get my phone back. It came back supposedly repaired (NFC) but still didn't work. So since I've owned the phone Lenovo have had it for 2 months, I've had to pay £87 for a new screen and NFC still doesn't work.

As I've said before I've had 6 Moto G phones over the years and have always liked them and had no problems.

Now I'm supposed to agree to send my phone back so the engineers can find the problem?

Rich, this is not your fault but frankly what's masquerading as customer service these days in Lenovo is not cutting it.

I'll carry on with my defective phone and when that dies it'll be the last I get from them.

JB

Hi JB,

I'm sorry to hear your experiences. Our team is working with our engineers and this is still in progress. We have couple of users here who are willing to swap their phones, and we sent them all to our EMEA team. I'm asking the team if we still need more samples back. Rest assured we're trying our best to get done as soon as possible. I will post back. Thanks.

Best regards,
Rich

This thread turned 6 months last Sunday.

That is half a year without the NFC most of us

paid for.

Same problem here, efter an update nfc didn't work, returned it to the store (Sweden) as a warranty issue. Got it back today after 3 weeks. And it works fine, I went to 3 diffrent store just to try. The motherboard and a few other details was switched.
