The problem is not fixed. There are no reports of repair options yet.

I have lost hope that Motorola will solve the problem. It seems like Agent_Rich has disappeared from this forum.

His last post is from March 26, and there he said:  I will let you know what's our next steps, let's just wait for the next advise. Thank you.

My advise: buy another phone but not Motorola.

Agent_Rich and Agent_Zeke both have been active in moto g stylus / moto g pro subforum within a week, but it seems they're just avoiding this thread.

It's been almost 2 months of silence from Motorolas side now. It's not looking good...

Hi Everyone,

So sorry for just now getting back to you. We have analyzed the phones sent to us for analysis. It looks like this is a hardware issue that would require repair. We're working to ensure our repair/service centers understand the issue. We will let you know when that is ready so you can send your devices to be repaired at that point. Thank you.

Best regards,
Rich

A hardware issue that is triggered by software update? In different versions? Find that kind of hard to believe...

Today I got my Moto G pro back from the repair shop. Based on the information provided from them, the reason was  faulty hardware which had been repaired/replaced.

After installing my apps I've tested Google pay......And it works...

I will test it for some days now and provide feedback after one or two weeks ( or until it will stop working again)

"We will let you know when that is ready so you can send your devices to be repaired at that point."

That equals to me like:

"We will let you know in another two months or so."

I gotta srart learning how how to bake a birthday cake for this bug.

For me it is not the phone issue what is the worst part of that story. It is sad, but it is a mistake that can be repaired or refunded in the worst scenario. The worst part is people's behavior, how motorola fixes the issue.

My phone was "repaired" in official Motorola service in other country, where I had to send it and wait for long time deliveries. After that repair I have NFC working but the work quality was so bad, that back plastic cover is glued back unevenly and causes loud irregular noise when vibromotor is on. Also sharp edges of the plastic cover are exposed in some areas. As a repair for the repair they offer sending the phone back again for 2-4 week delivery-repair-delivery cycle, which is too long for me for regluing back cover.

So now i can pay contactless with my phone, but everytime it rings or notificates (which is obviously more often) I remember this thread and sometimes send my negative energy to motorola.

Good day.

Where did you have your smartphone repaired?

Is it also a MOTO G pro?

Did the repair cost anything? How long did it take

Did it do anything?

Thanks in advance.
