Re:NFC stopped working in moto g pro

On my phone, NFC didn't work initially. But today I was changing the screen and noticed that the antenna contacts are quite soft and may not fit snugly to the motherboard. I pressed the contacts with my fingernail and checked on my bank card, it worked. I glued a piece of silicone to the back cover in the place where the antenna goes to the motherboard and the NFC still works. For a little over a year, I suffered because of such a small problem.

That was probably the firmware induced hardware issue.

Here you can see the antenna and the place where it goes to the board, but when I was looking for an image of the inside of the phone, I came across a video of the disassembly of the g stylus and there was no antenna at all.

And in this image you can see the contacts to which the antenna is adjacent. I don't remember exactly which ones.

Hi,

You are welcome to try @zhigl 's suggestion, but we still recommend going through authorized repair centers. The repairs not authorized by Motorola voids the remainder of the warranty.

Mary

@Agent_Mary Will Motorola guarantee me a free repair in the Czech Republic or will I be without a phone for at least 30 days without a guarantee of functionality after the repair?  Doesn't Motorola consider replacing our phones with new ones?

Dear Agent_Mary, You said that we should send our phones for repair but does Motorola know what the problem is? I'm not going to send my phone for repair if you don't know what the exact problem is. The best service Motorola could give is to replace our phones with new ones just like Bssego suggests. I can't be without a phone for a month. This is very bad service from Motorola.
