Hi Zeke -- it's been two weeks since my initial post on this. Any update? I haven't heard a thing. If someone has looked at this they have not contacted me. 

 

It seems pretty clear that resetting APN and carrier settings is not working for people. I think Motorola customers deserve some clear communication from Motorola. These are new phones released in 2020 and we have every expectation they should work as advertised. I work in tech and understand that fixing issues can be difficult, but the lack of communication is turning this from an annoyance into something that is causing loyal customers to lose confidence in Motorola.

I have a new Moto G Stylus that was having this same issue on Tello. After lots of messing around, what finally fixed it was simply going into the APN page, resetting everything to default via the three dot menu, then creating one new entry called "Tello" and simply setting the APN to "r.mi.ispsn"- no other settings changed. Once that was entered and saved, select that APN (click the dot to the right of it in the list of APNs). I set my phone down after doing that with the intention of doing a full reset of the carrier, PRL, etc. but when I checked my phone about 10 minutes later I had LTE! Worth a shot. You'll note the default APN is "n.mi.ispsn" and the new one needs to be "r.mi.ispsn"

Just tried this.... IT WORKED! It didn't work immediately, but after 10-15 minutes I had LTE. Thank you!

This matches the previous APN settings I had. I had originally tried manually entering this, but I'm not sure I selected it and waited long enough. 

Either way, thank you very much for posting this suggestion. After Motorola has been inexplicably unresponsive, I really appreciate it.

We tried that on the 4 phones we have in our household that are Moto G Stylus.  It worked with all of them.  5 minutes of waiting seemed to be fine.  Restarting the phones also worked.  Thanks again!

Dude, I'm really freaked out by this (in a good way). It is absolutely strange that no other APN but this one would ever work!! It also worked for me!

Fantastic.  I had issues of losing LTE after the Android 11 upgrade.  Your simple solution gave my Moto G Stylus LTE and VoLTE!!!
