I only know that there is a 3GB/4GB file size limit(Depending on file type)if the file is stored on a FAT 32 device like an SD card. I don't know about a phone's Internal memory. You can take an SD card out and re-format as NTFS/Ext2  on a PC with software like Mintitool Partition Wizard and try that. If you decide to do this be careful as MPW is very powerful and make sure you are working on the SD card and  not a System drive otherwise you can wipe a PC!!

From what I have researched there is a 4GB limit even on the Internal memory on Android Phones  and some files may not even play on a re-formatted SD card :(

The only solutions I've seen would be to compress the files or downgrade the resolution to get the files under the limitations or split them up  :/

I use Open Camera,

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera&hl=en_GB

Just Spit-balling here so you can test,

In it's Settings> More Camera settings if you enable Framework option and then the Save location and choose and enable it saving to SD card as I do and then make sure the SD card is formatted to Ext2 or NTFS you may be able to get the desired results?

This assumes the SD card is formatted as,"Portable" and not,"Internal".

Hopefully this will bypass the file size imitations. It's rumoured that Android 11 will allow larger video file size recording :)

HTH :)

I like this "open camera" for the regular video camera... but it doesn't seem to work for the action cam. Am I missing a setting?
