Hi Ambady,

I will try my best to help you with this. Have you tried using a different USB cable or plugging it in a different port? Try plugging the phone to your laptop while the phone is booted in Safe mode. Please let me know how it goes.

To restart in safe mode:
  1. Press & hold the Power button.
  2. When it restarts, you'll see Safe mode across the bottom of the home screen and widgets will be disabled.
  3. Use your phone and see if the problem has gone away. Remember, you won't be able to use any downloaded apps.

Best regards,
Zeke

I'm glad it started working again. I would say keep an eye on it and let us know if it happens again. If it does, then try to grab a bug report when it stops working and share it with us.

1. Go to Settings -> About Phone -> Tap on Build number 7 times on the build number to go into the developer options mode]
2. After the above steps Developer options will be enabled.
3. Go to Settings ->System -> Advanced -> Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On
4. Enable Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On
5. Once the issue is reproduced, Go to Settings -> System -> Advanced -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power-down menu.
6. Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
7. Then upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and then share the link to the bug report on the forums in a reply.
8. Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the time that you observed the behavior in local time.

Hopefully, you won't have to, but let us know.

Thanks

Tom
