It´s my wife phone as it works fine (for her) she doesn´t care that much about this stuff she doesn´t mind. 

 

If it was mine i would change to to another phone.

 

 

As for moderators is anyone listening? Anyone there??!

 

Change for the Realme 8 5G, it´s a better deal. I´m really dissapointed with moto support on this. 40 answers and nothing. Unbelievable

I just just contacted the operator where I bought the phone I told them that there is a problem with the g50 and it is not working as it should
I suggested that I replace the device with one from another manufacturer for a similar price
They provided contact information for Motorola support and service and said the problem is a matter for Motorola and I should contact them
I also told my operator that the problem is more widespread in Europe
I also said that they may receive other malfunction reports from other g50 users in the future
Next, I will contact my local Motorola support / service and see how things go

Let´s wait and see how they fix this, i hope so! I bought on amazon, and if I decide i can return it. My wife loves it though I don´t get why this is dragging so much. It should be an easy fix. My Edge is updated to the last security patch

I am using my old reliable A20e phone which is still completely up to date
I also gave up my 5g phone subscription and upgraded it to a cheaper one (4g) for about 15 € / month so I can amortise the g50 price during the year if the deal remains my loss and Motorola is never allowed to work properly

Google PLay Update system - Part 2

HI all,

 

I already post once about this but it appears it has no answers from Motorola.

 

I´ve came up with a solution but in the end it didn´t work. The phone can´t update the recent version of Google PLay Store security update. Is still stuck on January even after last firmware update.

 

Other users have acknowledge this too, yet so far no one has given a straight answer about this. 

 

I don´t know it this issue is because of the new "Thinkshield for Mobile". Could you please give us a solution?

Hello all, I'm truly sorry that some of you are facing this issue. I have continued to escalate this from my end.

 

I can tell you that I've personally not been able to duplicate this. Initially, my phone was on the January Google Play Update. I wanted to test with the same software you all were on at the time which was RRF31.Q1-59-33-2. So, I updated my phone to that build while still showing the January Play Update. I performed a factory reset and set up the phone. Once the phone was set up, I then updated all the apps from the Playstore. Once this was completed, I checked and saw I was still on the Jan update, I tapped on it, downloaded the update, and upon the required reboot it was on June. At this point, it's now just telling me I'm on the latest version. Below is a screenshot from my moto g50.

 

 

The one thing I can think of when I set up the phone, I did not restore any apps from the cloud backup. If someone could try factory resetting their phone and don't restore any applications. Please do try and see if it then will take the Google Play System Update.

@Lavisr could you please try this its not a problem for you? It's my wife phone she hates it to do any changes. And she' has important work data that it simply can't be erased. Are you sure there is no other way? I mean do a Factory reset simply to get a new update ? It involves loosing all my data and some apps are the only way she can access to her workstation.
