When riding in a car or bus(with speeds greater than 5 km/h), Google Maps will use your heading to get orientation, but you will lose this heading when speeds fall below the limit. I have used google maps on moto g5 plus (no magnetometer). To be honest, it works fine while driving. Only when you stand still the arrow will not point to the direction your device is pointing to.

Yes, that is correct the moto g60 does not have an e-compass/magnetometer. However, the phone should still work fine for most navigation/GPS needs.

If the phone cannot detect the orientation and direction when we are at stand still then what's use of navigation there ?, For example in cities like Bangalore , Mumbai etc the traffic is high and in such cases the vehicles have to stop , if by chance the GPS signal gets lost or something how will the person who is depending on the phone navigation go ahead without knowing about his direction ? , I hope Motorola takes this into consideration before launching the phone because Navigation is also one of the important factor to people while purchasing the phones in cities.

But the efficiency of navigation goes down without the presence of those sensors, I hope you guys respect our needs on proper and easy navigation in phone and will install the sensors either before the launch or at least in the next version. I was thinking of purchasing this phone because I liked the Motorola One vision which i am currently using , but was disappointed by seeing that this phone lacks certain sensors which helps a lot while using maps for navigation. 5G we can understand that its going to take few years to be implemented in India but all sensors for navigation is must if we want to have a hassle free navigation experience with the phone.

You really provided us with a killer phone. The matter of the fact is this absence of a magnetometer is not giving the optimal experience in navigation. The phone is capable of everything but this is an essential feature too. Please if possible consider this feedback.

Re: Selfie/Front Flash

2021-05-02, 2:34 AM

Does the G60 have selfie/front LED Flash?

The technical specifications on https://www.motorola.in/smartphones-moto-g60/p and https://www.flipkart.com/motorola-g60-dynamic-gray-128-gb/p/itmf1d5d2978289e?pid=MOBFWSF8U37QFQGK are vague and ambiguous.

On the said flipkart.com page, it reads that:

1. "This mobile phone is equipped with a front-facing 32 MP selfie camera that makes use of the Quad Pixel technology with high light sensitivity. Add an LED flash to the mix and you can take sharp and bright selfies at all times." and;

2. "The moto g60 enables you to capture spectacular selfies wherever you are, thanks to its 32 MP selfie camera, the Quad Pixel technology, and LED flash."; but

3. the Camera Features section under the Specifications reads "Flash: Rear LED Flash" which possibly means that there is no LED Flash in the front or for the front/selfie camera.

On the said motorola.in page, it reads that:

1. Capture Instagram-worthy selfies with a 32 MP selfie cam, LED flash, and Quad Pixel technology for 4x better light sensitivity; but

2. the "View all specifications" section does not mention anything about a front/selfie flash.
