Apps disabled (plus some) as requested, the only one that was greyed out and unable to disable is My Verizon Services. I will report back.

Hi DannyOFD,

Quite a lot of apps. Really thanks for keeping up with me. Those are the workaround we have for now but we already escalated this to Verizon. Any soon I have an update, I will let you know here.

Best regards,
Rich

I have had a few minimizations still, but not as many/as often. I have noticed that when my app gets minimized I see my battery charge indicator decrease just a bit.

Thanks team for your help,

The workarounds have solved the issue on one of our phones, but my wife's phone is now worse.

Apps randomly minimize, home screen flashes back and forth between app badges and none and then finally to the home screen with badges.

Whatever she was working on, such as a text message or email, is lost. Often it happens when the keyboard is open, but not exclusively.

This happens very frequently...please help...she is about to throw the phone out!

Hi Hoff,  brian5634,

Thanks for reporting back. What Verizon apps have you disabled so far?

All these are the same on both phones, the one working properly and the one acting up:

Security & Privacy - Disabled

Android System WebView

Mobile Services Manager (I think this was called Verizon App Manager before)

My Verizon Services -  not able to disable, updates have been uninstalled

I have cloud, smart family, my Verizon and I think a couple more still active, but since power cycling my phone on Tuesday I have not had the issue. I have only disabled app manager and privacy and security and completely uninstalled digital security.

Hi brian5634,

Those are the only work around we have. Try doing factory data reset on your wife's phone. Don't restore backup or any third-party apps. Try installing them one at a time. And let me know if there's improvement.

Settings > System > Reset > Factory Data Reset

Backup important files so she won't lose them.

Please note that this is still under investigation. I will let everyone know here if there's already appropriate solution in this type of case. Thanks.

Best regards,
Rich
