G7 Power non stop security update notification - how to stop?

2019-10-10, 1:02 AM

I am having this problem with a brand new g7 power. I get a never-ending Security Update notification with "Something's not right. Reconnecting to the server."

Otherwise the phone is connected and using data just fine. This happens whether I am on wifi or network data.

Hi colonelk,

Thank you for posting, we would like to help. Could you help us with a screen shot showing what you see? Also, may I know if you have received an OTA update? Are you getting error message while you are trying to install the update?

Keep us posted?

Reagrds,

Sangam

Try a Network Reset.

Make sure you write down your Usernames and Passwords for your connections to WiFi etc then,

Select Settings.
Then you should tap System and Reset.
Now select Network Settings Reset and Reset Settings.
Reset/Reset Network Settings.

At the end tap Reset Settings to launch the operation.

Now switch the phone off for a minute and restart it and see if it clears it :)
