How do I delete a Mobile Hotspot from my Moto G7 Power phone

2021-07-21, 12:19 PM

I set up a mobile hotspot on my Moto G phone so I could use my Samsung Tab A away from home. It all looked fine on the Moto G but I could not get it right on the tablet as there wasn't a specific hotspot setting. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone to Samsung and they could not help me set it up.  I now want to delete the hotspot from my phone and forget all about hotspots.

I googled it and found this.
How do I delete my hotspot?
How do I uninstall Hotspot Shield from my Android device?
  1. Tap on Android Settings.
  2. Select "Apps" (Application Manager)
  3. Select "Hotspot Shield"
  4. Tap on "Uninstall" Related articles.

I can't find Hotspot Shield on my Moto G.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching us. I will do my best to help you. I will share a link where you can find information about the mobile hotspot.

If you're having problems with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular data, or hotspot connections you can try resetting all network settings:
  1. Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Reset options

  2. Touch Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth > RESET SETTINGS

  3. Touch RESET SETTINGS

  4. Try to reconnect to Wi-Fi, cellular data, and Bluetooth, or try to share your internet connection again.

Best Regards,

Kevin

Kevin, you are a star. Hotspot gone & worry over. If only you worked for Samsung I would probably be using the hotspot now instead of getting rid of it.

Thanks a lot for your help.
