You're never gonna get a trade in. You're never gonna get a fix. They did this on purpose. They aren't even removing the faulty update. Why would you believe they are working on a fix or that you would get any resolution. It has been nearly TWO MONTHS.

Well, it is rapidly getting close to time for a class action suit. There are thousands of people who have been without phone service for weeks.  I suggest your senior execs need to come up with and communicate a plan very quickly.

Incidentally, what appears to be missing is VoLTE configuration.

LTE works just fine, but the phone isn't provisioned for VoLTE. So, given the need for 911 service, the phone switches over to CDMA mode (or W-CDMA, if you're in one of the roaming areas that works that way).

The firmware is set up to mask the VoLTE settings menu and rely on data from the HSS for provisioning. My guess is that the XT1962-1 model with Android 10 isn't set up right in the HSS data, so the device isn't being detected as "VoLTE approved" and is therefore getting a less helpful config from the HSS.

This is basically the same problem as "getting a new phone model approved for LTE" -- it's kind of like the phone suddenly turning into a new model, surprising the carrier.

Hi Rich, continuing this , I have the same problem with my G7 after the Android update.I cannot connect to LTE and I have Sprint. I called and after trying reset etc can only connect to 3G. My question is why would Lenovo antagonize it’s customers by not addressing the issue at a higher level. I am sure that will prompt a more robust analysis. Why would you risk litigation instead of finding a solution as quickly as possible including an update link which could revert the phone to Android 9 at least as a temporary fix?

Latest update. My phone hasn't had data for at least a month but at least the phone worked. Now tonight it shows "no service" or "emergency calls only". Another phone with Verizon in the same house is working fine. Rebooting doesn't fix it. So now I have a completely useless phone.

I had that happen to mine and on one of the reboots it just went to the bootloader. I used the recovery tool that's on Moto's website and its back to at least functioning but still no LTE and every now and then it cuts out and there's a delay in messaging.
