MOTO G7 Battery Level Gone From Circle Clock After Android 10 Upgrade

2020-07-15, 17:21 PM
After installing Andriod 10, the Lenovo Time and Weather widget no longer shows the battery percentage circle. A bug to be fixed or is it gone forever?

Re:g7 play Time & Weather widget - no battery circle

Hi Smithchart,

Thank you for posting. For the circle battery on Moto Display, this is the new user interface (UI) for Moto Display. The circle won't be coming back, but we will pass the feedback along.

MOTO G7 Battery Level Gone From Circle Clock After Android 10 Upgrade

2020-07-15, 17:21 PM

Just wondered if anyone has had the battery level indicator disappear from the circle clock widget after the Android 10 upgrade to their phone.  I have a Moto G7.  I've tried removing and reinstalling the widget with no success.  However, when the phone goes to sleep you can still see the battery level indicator on the black screen clock widget (if the phone is moved or a hand waved over the screen).  I chatted online with  a Motorola rep and she said that there was nothing that could be done.  Please see the attached screen shot of our brief conversation.  If anyone has any knowledge on how to get the battery level indicator back (without a factory reset of the phone) I sure would appreciate it!

Here's a screen shot of how the circle clock widget now appears on screen, with the battery level indicator missing around the perimeter of the circle.

Hi LandArch,

Thanks for asking this. Unfortunately, for the battery indicator on Moto Display, this is the new user interface (UI) for Moto Display. The circle won't be coming back, but we will pass the feedback along.

Re:MOTO G7 Battery Level Gone From Circle Clock After Android 10 Upgrade

Thanks for the quick response!  I really appreciate knowing that it's not an error in my G7's upgrade to Android 10.  Motorola had such a great circle clock widget (which incorporated a battery level indicator in the circle's perimeter) that I really hate to see that part of it disappear.  The little battery icon with the percentage inside (next to the signal strength icons, far top right corner of the screen) is just too small and impossible to see.  I will really miss the old circle clock display that Motorola had for so long.  Guess I'm stuck with downloading and adding a battery level indicator from Google Play to the screen. Thanks again!

Moto G7 Power - Android 10 Update - Time and weather widget not showing battery in outer ring

2020-07-21, 19:50 PM

Hello, my Moto G7 Power recently received the Android 10 update. Unfortunatley the time and weather widget on the home screen does not display the battery percentage in the outer ring anymore. The battery percentage is still shown on the lock screen. How can I get it back like it was on Android 9? Sincerely
