Moto G7 Phone App - Hold Button Does Not Appear on Call

2020-06-26, 19:10 PM

I have a Moto G7 with version 9 installed.  Whenever I am on a call there is no hold button displayed directly under the Keypad.  Is this feature available for the Moto G7?

Hi bowlerguy,

Are you using the stock Phone app by Google? If so, there should be a hold button as stated on this link. Please make sure the app is up to date in Play Store and let me know if you're still not seeing the option. Thanks.

Hi bowlerguy,

Thanks for confirming. I would like to confirm, while you're on a call and you received a call waiting can you check if the hold button will appear?

When I go to the Settings in the Phone app and then touch Calls there is no Advanced settings option available to turn on Call Waiting as mentioned in the Device Help app. Is the hold button only available when Call Waiting is turned on? Do I need to contact my carrier to enable this feature?

It's possible that you would need call waiting enabled on your account. Give your carrier a call and see if they can add it to your line. Then come back and see if you then have the hold button when you're on an active call.
