Moto G7 Power Signal issue Network 3 and o2

Hi,

 

Just a follow up to the previous post i made about my Moto G7 Power having issues with 3 Signal, I believe this is a issue with either the Phone itself or the Firmware/Software on the Phone.

 

My father has the same phone hes on O2 UK and has the same issue even in good signal areas like Town only got 2 bars of Signal and other phones has full bars.

 

My phone works okish but the Internet is really slow on H+ most of the time it has DNS releated issues with websites can't be found. I have looked across the internet however a look of people are having this issue even people in the states/US are having issues.

 

I believe this issue needs to be looked at further wether its a hardware related issue with the radios in the phone or software.

Same here. I had a Samsung s8 and worked in the house. The g7 doesn't work at all.

Same here. Two MOTO G7 POWER phones. At first blamed Vodafone UK for weak signal, so changed to Three. Same problem. No signal at all at home, while Nokia and Microsoft in same place got 2 bars on same sim cards. Great phone but signal issue is a big problem.

Hi p45qd4,

 

Aside from the weak signal, can you please elaborate what symptoms are you experiencing? Please update your profile with the current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > System > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your check-in data to see if they are a source of problems.

Hi Rich,

The phone itself is great and I'm happy with it (both of them). Weak signal is the only problem for now. Usually there is no signal at all or just Emergency only when I'm at home. Second sim card Lyca Mobile shows 1 bar, but cannot initiate or receive a call. The only way to get signal and have a call is to stand close to a window.

Yes, I'm ok if you check my check-in data.

Thanks for updating your profile. Looks like you have a very poor signal these past few weeks. Your location could be one of the factors. Do you experience the same in different locations? It's one way to test this. Let me know if there's an improvement.

Hi Rich,

According to Three and Vodafone singal is very good inside and outside in this location. I tested sim cards in Microsoft and Nokia phones in the house. Both worked fine. I've got another 3 sim card in Microsoft phone, works fine all the time, with 1 or 2 bars while Motorola says - no signal....

Getting sick of these phones. Keep loosing incoming calls, day by day, no signal at home while Microsoft Lumia in same network (Three) in same place works fine! Ridiculous.
