Moto G7 power - Battery drain after updating to Android 10

2021-02-22, 9:39 AM

Hello

I got my last update to Android 10 in December 2020. Thie month my battery has started draining fater than usual. I have checked the apps as well as the battery performance but it shows all apps are running fine.

I normally used to charge my phone in mornings and it used to last me till mid afternoon of next day until I chose to charge it again. Bit now the battery hardly lasts for 24 hrs and it has started draining very fast even with minimal or no usage.

Please help!

Regards

HJ

Hi Sandip

Sorry for the late reply. I uninstalled all the gaming apps thinking they are the cause, rebooted the phone twice, also yesterday I uninstalled whatsapp and reinstalled it. I have also chaged location permission settings for the apps. Before going to sleep yesterday the battery was showing 53% and in the morning it was just 22%. This has been ongoing since more than 2 weeks now. Also after full charge to 100%, by evening even with minimal use and stand by alone, it becomes 50% which was not he case earlier.

Regards

HJ

Hi,

Sorry to hear about that. Let me help you. Try calibrating your battery. To calibrate the battery Hold the power button until the phone reboots > Plug into the supplied charger > Charge to 100% > Leave on the charger for at least an additional hour. See if it helps.

Regards

Sandip
