The Android 10 upgrade on my Power G7 has caused it to reboot and not stay steady at all. I wish I could reinstall 9 as well. I know there is some kind of design flaw in this phone because they don't even list it on the Rescue and Smart Assistant to reinstall the boot up. I feel like I was sold a piece of bad technology and that there needs to be a class action suite to get satisfaction from Lenova/Motorola .
Hi Jazzman2010
Unfortunately, there's no native option to restore to Android 9. May I know what you mean by reinstall the boot up using Rescue tool? I would suggest using the Rescue tool and do the Rescue function. Kindly just backup important files so you won't lose them. I hope that helps. Thanks.
Best regards,
Rich

JazzMan2020,
I have come to the same conclusion you have. It has been undoubted PROVEN on hundreds of forums with thousands of Moto G-family phones ALL experiences the SAME incompatibility issues immediately following the Android 10 forced update then restarting their phone. I'm a fairly tech savvy person and I after many hypotheses, testing, and troubleshooting steps the only possible answer to what would suddenly cause thousands of Moto G-family phones to all start to experience technical failures and device malfunctions in the exact same way, is that we have all been sold pieces of untested junk pre-installed with faulty software that is INCOMPATIBLE with the code within the Android 10 update. I have been a countless forums talking to thousands of Moto G-family phone owners who we all have tried, to no avail, to get Motorola to even acknowledge this is unquestionably due to their faulty devices, and finally get them to take responsibility and hold themselves accountable for the THOUSANDS of customers who have been scammed out of money that's tighter for most Americans right now than its ever been in their life and a couple hundreds bucks lost for some is the difference between losing their electricity or not being able to pay overdue rent. Not only has absolutely no solution, apology, or admission of fault been offered from Motorola, but I have yet to see ANYWHERE that Motorola has even ACKNOWLEDGED there's even an issue in the first place!
So I believe you are 100% right. There needs to be a class action filed to get justice for the thousands of people Motorola has made clear by their lack of integrity will continue to be ignored until that option is taken from them. I am 100% on board with any class action regarding this issue. I have no idea what the process is to file something like that, but ya know what, today feels like a good day to do some research and learn how to. Thanks for bringing that up, it gave me just the nudge I needed.
Hi Janey_Doe1

I've gone round and round with Lenovo trying to see if I could just get my G7 reinitialized with the version 9 that worked. They told me it couldn't be done and that my only recourse was to contact my service provider to see what they could do. I use Consumer Cellular and because I couldn't wait I bought another phone and had the number transferred over. That was another $270 dollars I shouldn't have had to spend. Perhaps we should contact one of those attorneys who advertise for class action suites on TV and see if they would be interested in our case.

We're willing to work with you to troubleshoot to get your phone working. Downgrading the phone is not an option but we do want to help in every way that we can to have this fixed and find out what's causing this. If you can update your profile with your phone's IMEI and carrier so that we may further look into this. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well, and let me know (just reply here) if it's okay for me to look at your apps to see if they are a source of problems.
