Vibrate only

2020-06-08, 6:44 AM

I have a G7. When I am in a place where I do not want to disturb the people around me but still want to know if I have received a call, text, email, notification, etc., I would like to have the phone vibrate but not make noise. Is there a way to do that? I would think this would be a pretty common request.

Hi Ivan H,

Thanks a lot for clarifying. You may try the suggestion of KarlBeckman. Also, check out this page if this helps. Click this link.

Hi Ivan H,

If I understand you correctly, you are asking for the vibration intensity. If so, unfortunately, there's no native option to adjust that. Let me know. Thanks.

Sorry. I guess I didn't phrase the question well. It isn't about vibration intensity. I would like to be able to temporarily turn off sounds (ring tones, beeps, etc.) and just have the phone vibrate when I am in a situation where others would be disturbed if I got a call, text, notification, etc. The Do Not Disturb feature turns off both sounds and vibrate. I would like to turn off just the sounds.

Thanks.

If you want just vibration without any sound effects, just slide the ringer volume adjust all the way down to the lowest setting, then bump it up once.  That should give you vibrate with zero sound.
