What are the steps to prepare my Moto G7 Play for sale?

2020-05-28, 16:37 PM

I've upgraded to a new phone and would like to sell my my G7 Play. Is there a list of steps for preparing it for sale? It was an unlocked phone purchased new at a local retail store (not purchased from my carrier) here in the US and used with T-Mobile. All data, info, contacts, sim card, SD card, etc is now on the new phone, so all data can be wiped from the G7 Play. The G7 Play was never updated to the newest system update due to reading about many issues after updates, so still running Android 9. Thanks.

Just put  Moto G7 Factory reset recovery mode into a Youtube search and follow a video instructions :)

This will wipe the phone as set it back it as it had just come from the Factory :)

Performing a Factory Reset will accomplish what you need. This will erase all personal data and restore your device to its original, out-of-the-box state. Even though a Factory Reset can be achieved via Recovery Mode, a much more easier and direct method would be the following:  Go to Settings> System> Advanced> Reset Options> Erase All Data (Factory Reset)
