Re: WiFi performance with Bluetooth on

I have the exact same problem. With bluetooth on, 2.4GHz wifi is about @Mbps. With bluetooth off, is is 35Mbps - over 10 times faster. This is soooo bad. Please let us know Tom

Good luck! I got nowhere with Lenovo. I gave them the bug reports etc but no response after numerous chasers.

It appears to be an inherent problem with these handsets that they can't fix so I got rid of my G7 and wont be going back to any Lenovo handsets anytime soon. Customer service is awful.

Exact same thing on my g7 power. 3mbps WiFi with bletooth on. 30mbps with blue tooth off. That's 10x slower with Bluetooth. Problem still persists with Bluetooth Latin scanning turned off. Any other solutions? This is unacceptable.

Only solution is to sell the G7 to some poor unsuspecting person, then purchase a more reputable manufacturers mobile.

I'm afraid Lenovo do not want to help in any way shape or form. It's a known fault but they will not even acknowledge it, never mind deal with it.

Hi Camelface69,

Our teams cannot duplicate this. We recommend sending the phone to service for repair. Thanks.

Re: WiFi performance with Bluetooth on

I have exactly the same problem with my G7 Power. In the UK this model only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi. I have noticed that the effect is more extreme when connected to a Bluetooth device or scanning for devices rather than just with Bluetooth turned on. Stood next to my router I get 33Mbps with Bluetooth off. With Bluetooth on this drops to 24Mbps,  which I could live with. When connected or scanning it's just 7Mbps. Even worse, when in another room where the WiFi signal strength is less, it drops to 1Mbps from 14Mbps. Thankfully I noticed the issue soon after purchasing the phone and will return it.

Yeah, you do right to return it. I managed to get rid of all 4 Moto's in my household due to this. It's a known issue but Lenovo don't want to acknowledge it or do anything about it... customer service at it's worst.

It's a shame because other than this issue I am really pleased with the phone.

You're right there. Other than the BT issue it was a decent handset, especially for the price. If it had been backed up with a just a small amount of customer service I would've possibly continued to persue the matter, but I totally lost my faith in Lenovo after they failed to acknowledge the fault, even though it appears really common.
