2019-05-07, 13:24 PM

Hi fellows,
Has anyone tried to connect Moto G7 Plus to Anycast or another generic ChromeCast? Is it possible?

Hi mralapo,

Thanks for posting. You can try, but I don't think that it will work other than using the Chromecast. Generally, Moto phones only support Chromecast years way back. Appreciate your feedback though, I'll pass this along but we can't guarantee any changes.

If you are trying to do screen mirroring via MiraCast, that functionality was removed by Google around the release of Lollipop (Android version 5.0).  A true ChromeCast is best for trying to do that.

If you are trying to play a specific video file via the Anycast then you might want to try their EZMira.  You could also search the Google Play store for apps that turn the phone into a DNLA server which theoretically works with AnyCast if both phone and dongle are connected to the same wifi network.
