G7 Plus - Build-In timer app bug

Sometimes, when i set a timer to say 5 minutes, and then switching between apps and return to said timer, the timer seems to be frozen. The ciphers stop counting, but the circle continues and finally by reaching the end of the timer the the alarm goes off.

Re: G7 Plus - Build-In timer app bug

I'd like to get some further information. Does this happen every time? How easy is it for you to duplicate? Just to be clear, the timer still works, it's just the time visually stops counting down?

No, that happens only sometimes, and currently i have no idea how to duplicate. The timer is working; you see the circle moving; the ciphers freeze. Eventually the alert sounds. So the timer itself works; it's weird when you open a running countdown and nothing moves (set it e.g. to an hour and the circle isn't noticably moving).

Re: G7 Plus - Build-In timer app bug

Hi Spiff256,

Please update your profile with current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Need help updating your profile? See here

Also, please send us a bug report so we can further check this. Thank you.

BUG REPORT FOR NORMAL ISSUE:
Go to Settings ->Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On
Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On
Once the issue is reproduced: Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power down menu.
Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
Then upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and then share the link to the BugReport on the forums in a reply.
Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the local time when you observed the behavior.

To enable developer options:
1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number
2. Tap Build number seven times. After the first few taps, you should see the steps counting down until you unlock the developer options. Once activated, you will see a message that reads, “You are now a developer!”
3. Go back to Settings, where you’ll find a Developer options entry in the menu

Best regards,
Rich
