The latest update of android on a G8 power appears to have removed the possibility of operating the screenshot function from the power button. In addition the new version of screenshot seems to decide whether I'm allowed to even take a screenshot

Since when did android programmers decide they know better than the phone users about what is allowed as a screenshot?

Thanks for the help. The Power+Volume button combo doesn't work on my phone, but the 3 finger thing works so that will do

Hi Petetheaviator,

Thanks for posting your concern here. Removing the screenshot button after holding the power button is a decision made by Google. There are still other ways to take screenshots such as the 3 finger screenshot, holding the power button and volume down button, and opening the recent apps would show the screenshot button.

Best regards,
Zeke
