Hi Mfede04,

I will try my best to help you with this. Are you using mobile data when connecting to the GPS and if you have VoLTE enabled by your carrier?

Best regards,

Hi Zeke

yes, this happens when I use Maps for car navigation, so with data connection and my carrier has 4G data enabled.

Hi Mfede04,

VoLTE is different from 4G connection. If you do not have VoLTE turned on, you will get disconnected to 4G network during calls. That may be the reason why you are disconnecting via GPS during calls.

Sorry I don't get the point.

My problem is not losing data connection during calls. My problem is that I cannot use the maps for car navigation because if I receive a call during navigation, the GPS stops working. I've never seen this problem on a smartphone before, cannot be a carrier problem.

Hi Mfede04,

Does the GPS navigation show that the car has stopped when the GPS is down during calls?

with waze the position updates every once in a while but not precisely

Hi Mfede04,

Please provide us a bug report after a call during car navigation. You will need to have access to the developer settings to generate a bug report.

To enable developer options:
1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number
2. Tap Build number seven times. After the first few taps, you should see the steps counting down until you unlock the developer options. Once activated, you will see a message that reads, “You are now a developer!”
3. Go back to Settings, where you’ll find a Developer options entry in the menu

BUG REPORT FOR NORMAL ISSUE:
Go to Settings ->Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On
Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On
Once the issue is reproduced: Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power-down menu.
Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
Then upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and then share the link of the Bug Report via Private Message.
Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the local time when you observed the behavior.

Best regards,
Zeke
