Hello, even though the chipset might support it, it doesn't always mean the phone was designed to support it. However, let me ask on my end to see if it's supposed to support NavIC.

I wanted to make sure I provided an update. As I previously said, the chipset supports it, but the phone does not. I can't promise it will be added in the future, but I've passed the feedback along.

It would be cool if you team add support for NavIC and newer security patch the next year . since moto g9 is marketed as "made in India and made for India"(the reason why we chose the mobile rather than other devices) NavIC is a requirement....

As I mentioned earlier NavIC is not currently supported on the phone. I've passed the feedback along, but I can not make any guarantees that support for NavIC will be added. From what I can tell, a very small number of consumer devices support NavIC mainly 4 other OEMs. While the time to fix on NavIC should be theoretically faster, the accuracy is the same for consumer devices (20m) between traditional GPS and NavIC. I have to ask, the phone currently supports GPS, A-GPS, LTEPP, SUPL, GLONASS, Galileo. Have you encountered any issues with using Navigation/Maps without NavIC support? If so, please provide details and I will pass that along as well.
