G9 Power - charge port problem

2021-03-03, 17:27 PM

Is there a known problem with the charge port on the G9? We bought one sixteen days ago and it just stopped charging yesterday. We took it back to the supplier today and with a two week replacement warranty and two year repair warranty it has been sent to the repairers. We don't expect to see it again for three weeks. Not a great experience so far... It's hard to understand why this phone can have malfunctioned so rapidly.. Does anyone out there have a similar experience?

Hi Gilesy,

We're sorry to hear what you have experienced. We would like to know if you have tested different chargers and tried other troubleshooting steps before sending it for repair?

Best regards,
Zeke

Having exactly the same problem. Purchased less than two months ago and yesterday just stopped charging for no reason whatsoever. The charger works in other phones and it's not the socket. I phoned Motorola and expressed my dismay at having to use Anovo for repairs. After many assurances, I'm still waiting for the repairs form to be sent on. Not feeling particularly confident about this one, but I'll wait it out and see if I get a fixed phone within the next century. Genuinely can't fathom why Motorola would continue using Anovo.

Yes. Tested with other charge cables and power supplies. No luck. Due to the rather harsh policy at the store, the phone was sent away for repairs, though we had only bought it 16 days before. It has been returned and I'll pick it up tomorrow. I don't know if they have replaced or repaired it. I'm not very confident. I'll update here when we get the phone back.

I'm glad you're getting your phones repaired. Please keep us updated when you get them back and have had a chance to test it out.
