So now you can hide the navigation gesture pill, but instead you have a sidebar pill always visible

You just can't make this up. You seriously can't make this sh*t up LMAO

Well... aside from that, the phone still seems to be somehow working on Android 13, so there's that... Thanks, I guess. The 60 FPS video recording is as broken as ever though, but that's not news at all.

You can disable the sidebar in the Moto app.

Indeed you can, but I wanted to still use it like I always did since the phone came out almost 2 years ago: completely hidden at all times, just double tap the fingerprint sensor and that's it. It was totally OK like that.

Nonetheless, there're also some very needed features and fixes that came with this update, such as locking network and power controls on the lockscreen so they can't be messed with without password, application and file locking, apparently improving USB-C dock compatibility, double tap to turn off the display on the home screen, proper support to touch to bring up the Moto Display without installing the application from other devices and the possibility of disabling the motion trigger, the aforementioned hiding of the navigation pill (I can't believe this took them two years lol)... so yeah, I'm mostly happy with this update so far, and thankful for the work they did, even if they took their sweet time.

Thanks for your reply. I indeed know that you can remove the sidebar, but I actually want to use that sidebar (up until now, I was using it constantly to change between appplications and open new ones) and so do most of the users of this phone, most likely.

Please just give us an option to hide the "visual" trigger (both the small pill and the touch trigger) so it remains invisible until summoned by a doble tap (or whatever) on the fingerprint sensor, just like it was for the last ~2 years!

Thanks a lot again for the update.
