Touch screen issue

I have a Motorola edge 30, updated to December patches.  I have a problem with touch.  I  have to press multiple times to issue a command.  in the attached video you can see that some photos are not selected even if the touch is visible.  I don't use film and have already tried the reset.

Thanks for taking the time to post. Sorry to hear that your touchscreen is not responsive. Let me go ahead and assist you. We want to know more details to help you further.

 

Have you tested other apps to see if there is a specific part of the screen which doesn't respond to your touches?

For now, please try running a hardware test to see if it works. To do this, go to Device Help app>device diagnosis> hardware test> Touchscreen.

hi, thanks for the reply. I tried the screen test and it works. the problem occurs with both the Launcher and other apps. it does not happen in a precise point but it is random.

Hi  @Walcom77 ,

 

Thanks for trying our suggestion. We recommend putting the device in Safe mode to see if it has the same thing. Once in Safe Mode, test the device to see if the touchscreen is working fine.

Thank you for keeping us posted and trying the suggested steps. We'd like to verify, how did you perform the reset? Did you reset the device to the factory default state? Does your Moto Edge 30 phone have the latest software and updated apps? Have you checked how much internal memory is available on the device? Go to Settings> Storage. When the internal memory of the phone is full or close to full, you may experience a sluggish user interface, latency when switching menus, or in some cases the display freezing. If used memory is over 70%, we recommend trying to free space by removing applications and content.

Hi, moto edge 30 is updated with S1RDS32.55-94-2 version. 

I did a factory reset (erasing all data). Internal memory is 20% full

Thanks for the detailed response. Would you mind telling me if you have a screen protector on your phone? If so, have you taken it out and made sure the situation is still there?

Hi @Walcom77,

 

If it has the same thing, we recommend using the RSA tool to get that reflashed. Before doing this, make sure to back up all your data, as it will reset your device in the process. If this still doesn't work, we recommend sending the device to our service center to get that fixed. Here's where you can submit a request.

Let us know if you run into some problems submitting a repair.
