Motorola edge 50 fusion having a issue after the recent update

After the new update to my "Edge 50 fusion" mobile the finger print sensor is not working on the application screen. Motorola please fix this.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

  1. Restart your device: Sometimes a simple restart can fix minor software glitches.
  2. Re-register your fingerprints: Go to Settings > Security > Fingerprint and delete the existing fingerprints. Then, re-register your fingerprints.

If the issue still persists, Try clearing already set password from the device.

  • Go settings.
  • Tap on security
  • Tap on the encryption and credentials
  • Tap on the clear credentials
  • Tap on the remove all content press ok.
  • Add the password and fingerprint security lock again.
  • Restart the device after this and check.

I did all the options. Finger print sensor is working on lock screen but it is not working when it is used as a authentication for mobile banking app or any other applications. Before the upgrade everything was fine. Please provide update and fix this issue.

Thank you for the update. Since the fingerprint sensor works on the lock screen but not within apps, it seems to be an issue specific to app authentication post-update.

Here are a few additional steps you can try:

  1. Update Apps: Ensure all your apps, especially banking apps, are updated to the latest version. Sometimes app updates are required to be compatible with new OS updates.
  2. Clear App Cache: Go to Settings > Apps > [Your Banking App] > Storage > Clear Cache.
  3. Check App Permissions: Ensure the apps have the necessary permissions to use the fingerprint sensor. Go to Settings > Apps > [Your Banking App] > Permissions.
  4. Safe Mode: Restart your device in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, a third-party app might be causing the problem. To boot into Safe Mode, press the physical power key, touch, and hold Power off, and touch OK when Reboot to Safe Mode appears. Restart the device to get out of Safe Mode.

I am also facing the same issue I have tried all the troubleshooting steps and the issue is same.kindly give us the solution.

Thank you for reaching out and providing the screenshot.

Since you have already tried the troubleshooting steps and the issue persists, we would suggest you try using the Rescue and Smart Assistance tool and perform the Rescue function. Please go through the link here for instructions. This process will wipe all data from the phone. Make sure that you have taken all data back up before you can perform the Rescue function on your phone. Please go through the backup instructions here.

After recent update my touch is not working properly. Not ubale to use the handset. Please help to close this problem.
