Guys, the true is we neveg get  5G on this phone if carriers doesnt support it. For now only Vodafone UK, Iliad italy nad some Dubai carriers confirmed taht the phone is using 5 G in their networks. For other -only  4G+ is available max. Same hare in Bulgaria for me- both with A1 Bulgaria and Vivacom i have only 4G+.

When i ask these carriers for future support for my phone they said ther is no planned such thing for the next 2 yaers. So in my country the only support brands are- Hawei, Xiaomi, Samsung, One plus  and  Apple-only models in midrange and high range of prices (over 350 Euros phones only).

I have wind3 as main manager like others here in the forum, but if I put a TIM sim (Telecom italia mobile) the 5g works! ... the problem now is that the times are getting too long and the smartphone is just over a year old , although I must admit that I like it a lot ...

Months after months, time passes, security updates eventually arrive, but 5g it's still not there.

Simply embarrassing

@MotorolaTom @Agent_Jess guess what... Wind Italy awarded me today with free 5G

But I have a phone that is 5G capable, but not enabled on my mobile operator

Simply incredible.

Would you kindly ask the dev team to unlock the 5G connection on this **bleep** phone?

Moto released Edge 20 series and it still states that 5G won't work on "every" network.

This is suicidal in terms of brand reputation...

We're still looking into the situation with Wind. I truly apologize for this.

As stating 5G won't work on every network. If we said just 5G then it would be assumed that it would work on ALL 5G networks and we know that's highly unlikely. For devices to get support on specific carriers, it has to go through carrier testing and certification, some carriers are more open and lenient, others are more strict and require much longer testing cycles. Some won't approve unlocked models at all. So saying it won't work on every network is accurate. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks,

Tom

Really am very disappointed as the phone was sold to me as 5G and I am fortunate enough to live in a 5G area in the UK but the option is just not there on Sky Mobile (who provide me with free 5G) all I get is Preferred network type 4G (recommended), 3G and 2G.
