I remain of the idea that it is not the problem of the carrier, but the option must be unlocked with the update. I changed sim, while Vodafone does not enable 5g. I' waiting for news. thanks

I don't have a final answer yet on this. I'm still working on it. I'll let you know ASAP.

@MotorolaTom could you please check for Croatia as well?

5G is enabled on my provider' network (Hrvatski Telekom), but I don' see possiblity to enable 5G in Motorola Edge settings.

IMEI updated in my profile settings.

thanks

I've reached out to some people on my end to see if I can find out about 5G with that carrier. I'm curious is Hrvatski Telekom the same as T-Mobile in your region?

I'll show you a thing. Entering the secret network menu, the NR (5g) option is present. It is not present in the settings menu and I confirm that it is not a carrier problem. Before the Motorola Edge I had Oneplus Nord with the same carrier and the 5g option was present.

Re:5G doesn't show up in the preferred type of network

I have this exact same problem and it's pretty infuriating.  If the advertising for the phone said "This is a 5G phone but only for 1 out of 10 networks, we don't know which is which, and we definitely won't provide that information in advance" then I suspect it would have drawn less attention and I could have just grabbed a phone without 5G for half the price.  I've been a Motorola loyalist and held out for a Motorola device in North America with enough features to be competitive,  but if my 5G device can't access the 5G network then I can't imagine I'll ever go the Motorola route again.

I'm on Telus, the largest mobile carrier in Canada.  My city is completely covered with 5G network.  In my Preferred Network Type settings, I have the choice of only 3G or LTE.

The SIM is brand new, my mobility account includes 5G access, and I'm told their 5G is on Band 66 which the Edge supports.  Telus sells the Edge+ and touts its access to their 5G network... how can the regular Edge be left out in the cold?  :(

Tom!  I have NO 5g, or 4 g confirmation on my Edge.  I live right here in USA , Ga, Atlanta. ...I pay my money to the most expensive network and the unlocked phone was purchased from Best buy who has a vendor relationship with Verizon.

I understand that I paid for a 5g phone but Motorola hasn't downloaded the software for such.  IS THIS TRUE??? ARE YOU SELLING 5G PHONES WITH NO 5G???? **bleep**.  PLEASE RESPOND DIRECTLY TO MY EMAIL: ***removed***

@MotorolaTom is there actually a fix for this problem?  Does one have to come here and request it specific to themselves?  Or is Motorola going to actually update the phones to be able to access 5G?  Inquiring minds....

Please give me the opportunity to check if the phone supports 5G on Telus in Canada. I'll get back to you asap.

Hello, I apologize that you're upset about your device. I'm curious, are you saying you're not getting 4G? As for 5G, the phone does not support 5G on Verizon as listed in the specs and carrier compatibility for the device.
