Thru another 7 hours of lyfting, I had no issue, feels great, it even stayed connected when I went inside the garage at the airport where I thought always it was the garage blocking data, but yesterday it stayed connected.  In all, so far so good.

So many wifi issues with mine, I have never had a phone with such short range before. It makes me consider selling it as I am going through data like crazy unknowingly.

I figured out the issue, it's a hardware fault. Probably grounding related. If you cover the bottom of the phone or touch it with your finger your speeds drop dramatically. I doubt this can be fixed by any patches. It happens if you rest your finger there or hold the phone in landscape.

 

It's a "you're holding it wrong" thing all over again

Hi.

 

I'm trying to learn when the new software (QPBS30.188-48-15) is coming to Canada. It has patches that should address this type of issue.

Hi.

 

Yeah, sorry. The build numbers are different for the Canadian version.

 

Can I ask you to reproduce this problem you describe, and provide a bug report? It's not as difficult as it looks.

 

It would also be great to have a video of how you manipulate the phone to get this effect, and if it shows on the wifi fan in the notification bar, show that.

 

1. Go to Settings > System > scroll to the bottom > Tap on Build number 7 times to enable Developer mode.

2. Go to Settings > System > Advanced > Developer options.

3. In Developer options, enable USB debugging 

4. In Developer options > Enable Bug Report shortcut

5. Once the issue is reproduced, go to Developer options > Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power down menu.

6. Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.

7. When it's ready, upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and share the link to the Bug Report via an email to supportforums@motorola.com, and include a note referring to this post so we know what it refers to.

8. Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the time that you observed the behavior in local time.

Same problem with the continuous disconnecting of the WiFi network.
