This is such garbage support. Ridiculous for a phone that costs this much. Now I understand why people stick with iPhones.

Hi.

I have to agree that it's taking a frustratingly long time to get this update out. I have been trying to get additional information but so far I haven't had much luck.

My apologies.

Same issue here while using normal phone. I can hear the other person with no issues loud and clear but my voice keeps cutting in and out with every call. This is the latest G8 Power. I upgraded from G7 Power which did not have this issue. Was hoping there will be an update to resolve this but the phone has been out for a while and looks like I will have to return it and go back to using the previous model.

Another issue is the colors of the screen. While G8 Power has better specs screen the colors are very washed out. Especially when compared side by side to G7 Power. Saturation setting make no difference. But thats another thread.

My 3rd motorola phone and getting really frustrated here. Phone calls on a phone are the primery function that should work.

I had the exact same problem on my moto edge +, the other party couldn't hear me when I m on speaker mode and everything else is fine.

I was able to fix it by reset the phone by to factory default and set it up as a new device. Dont restore it from another phone.

I restored my backup from Huawei last time and experienced the speaker mode mic issue. I hope this help

I submitted a warranty claim for this issue and that ended with me sending the phone in and, to my surprise since this seems to be a software problem and not hardware, had the phone replaced entirely. Of course as I suspected, that didn't solve the issue.

Calling is a basic function of a phone. So it's pretty frustrating that whenever I get a video call I have to reach for headphones or another device because my so called flagship phone doesn't work for this type of calls.

What's even more frustrating is how long it's taking to fix something that is a basic function of a phone. I get that there are always going to be problems for every manufacturer (remember antennagate and the exploding batteries) but when you take months to solve an issue that affects basic functionality, that's when you start to lose longtime customers.

@MattForumsMngr  where are we with this issue? It's been 3 months in dealing with this crap and it's ridiculous.

have you guys tried to reset your phone? I experienced the same issue, it turns out it was my previous backup (another phone) that overwrote something on the software which caused the speak phone mode to malfunction

@Staktech.ca  thanks for the advice. I might have to try that because these guys are taking forever to put out a fix. I just don't feel like going through the hassle of doing a factory reset. But it seems like I have no choice.

I hear you my friend. I was so close to return it given I have 15 days return period.

Quick question, when you setup the phone initially, did u set it up as a new device or restored your previous backup from your other device?

Also if you decide to do a factory reset, make sure you set it up as a new device and don't restore any previous bCkups

Good luck
